EVENT DATES: Friday May 17 through Sunday May 19, 2013. Opening Reception will be on Friday from 6:30 to 9:00 PM. Gallery hours on Saturday May 18 from 10 AM to 4 PM and Sunday May 19 from Noon to 4 PM.
INTRODUCTION: All member artists are invited to participate in our annual upcoming Judged Spring Art Exhibit & Sale. Details as follows:
LOCATION: Princeton Arts Society (first floor) of the Princeton Center Building at 18 Boylston Ave.
ARTIST ELIGIBILITY: All adult member artists 18 years and older are invited to participate. Non-members may participate by becoming members at the time of art drop off. Membership fees are $30 for adults and $40 for families.
MEDIUMS: The show is open to all two and three dimensional media.
ENTRY PROCEDURE & ART DROP OFF DATE/TIME: Saturday, May 11 from Noon to 4PM and 9 AM to 12 Noon on Tuesday, May 14 at the Center. Artist Entry Forms will be provided to artists and completed by artists during designated drop off times
HANGING DATE: The Princeton Arts Society will hang exhibitor art on Wednesday, May 15 and the judging will occur on May 16.
ART SPECIFICATIONS: Two dimensional artists will be limited to two entries. Maximum size is 30” in any one direction including frame. Artists wishing to exhibit larger pieces will be limited to one entry. Artists exhibiting three dimensional work or craft items will also be limited to two pieces. Three dimensional items cannot require any special installation.
LIABILITY: While the Princeton Arts Society will do everything possible to carefully handle art work and maintain security from point of drop off to point of pick up, the Princeton Arts Society cannot accept any liability for lost or damaged artwork at the show. Artists will also be responsible for any tax liability resulting from the sale of art work.
PRIZES AND AWARDS: There will be ribbons and cash prizes with awards including First Place (Best in Show), Second Place, and Third Place. In addition, Honorable Mention Awards will be presented based on the judge’s discretion. Prizes will be announced and presented at the opening reception on Friday, May 17.
SALE OF ART WORK: PAS will handle all sales of art work during the show and will retain a 25% commission on sales to support its ongoing programs.
ART PICK UP TIME: Sunday, May 19 from 4 to 6 PM or Tuesday, May 21 from 9 AM to 12 Noon.
