Award-winning Local Poet to Read
Poet and Princeton native Jamie Samdahl will read from her new manuscript, Learned Exile¸ on Sunday, January 19 at 2 pm in the Princeton Arts Society’s room in the Princeton Center, 18 Boylston Ave. Jamie is a junior at Smith College in Northampton, and has just returned from three months of study and travel in India. Her poems have been published in Smith’s literary magazine Labrys, as well as in the five-college literary journal Quick Brown Fox.  In the spring of 2013 Jamie was named winner of Smith College Art Museum’s Tryon Prize for Writing, as well as Mount Holyoke College’s 90th annual Glascock Poetry Prize. The reading is made possible in part by a grant from the Princeton Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. All are welcome!
